Port of Jen Jen - Iron Ore Berth

This project for the Ministère des Travaux Publics de Wilaia de Jijel, Algeria, consisted of the construction of a 1,100 meter long iron ore berth, a 320 meter long "mixed" berth, a 775 meter long general cargo berth, a 223 meter long pier and a deck. The iron ore berth was composed of 48 circular cellular reinforced caissons 22 meters in diameter, ranging from 11.96 to 19.96 meters in height. The "mixed" berth was composed of 20 circular cellular reinforced caissons 15 meters in diameter and 12.46 meters in height. The general cargo berth was composed of 49 caissons 15 meters in diameter and of variable height from 12.62 to 13.64 meters. The pier was composed of 9 caissons with a diameter of 15 meters and a height of approximately 13 meters. The deck was composed of steel catwalks positioned on the caissons.
