Ras Laffan Port
Location: Qatar
GLF SpA was a major partner of a Joint Venture in the construction of the Ras Laffan Port in Qatar. This project was part of the industrial complex for the utilization of natural gas derived from the North Field. The port mainly exports liquified natural gas. The scope of work was to design and build a modern port structure stretching over approximately 3 miles across the sea.

Grandi Lavori Fincosit was responsible for the following construction works:
- All concrete works in the port;
- n. 2 LNG berths (with expansion capability for two more berths) for LNG vessels up to 130,000 cu.m.;
- n. 2 Liquid Products berths (with expansion capability for four more berths) for tankers up to 300,000 dwt.;
- n. 1 Dry Cargo/Container berth for a total length of 605 meters;
- n. 1 Ro-Ro/Heavy Load berth 180 meters long;
- n. 1 Tug berth 270 meters long;
- Approach structure for a total length of 2,000 meters.
